POPEYE, THE MUSICAL
Original music by Shawn Cannon and Sam Prindiville, with additional music by Harry Nilsson.
This delightful story of a sailor, trying to make his way in the world, and be accepted for who he is, is a classic one, based on a long running comic. The Cannon Theatre is doing Popeye with a twist-----creating a unique world of 40's and steam punk, with a plethora of quirky characters. The results are pure fun! Don't miss this entertaining musical, performed by kids, ages 8-17. This musical is based loosely on the movie, Popeye, screenplay by Jules Feiffer, based on the story by E.C. Seger.
