The Glass Menagerie is narrated by Tom Wingfield, who works at a shoe warehouse to
support his sharp-tongued, anxious mother, Amanda, and his painfully shy, physically disabled sister, Laura. Amanda lives largely in her glorified past as a Southern belle, obsessed with finding a gentleman caller to secure Laura’s future.

A poignant "memory play" set in a St. Louis apartment during the Great Depression,
The Glass Menagerie explores family burdens, unfulfilled dreams, and the painful pull between responsibility and escape.

For the first time over a decade, you’ll notice that our ticket prices have increased by $2
for this season. This modest increase is going to support rising costs in other areas
such as rent, licensing, props and set materials.

We recognize that life in general is more expensive. The Cannon Theatre is committed to producing and performing quality shows and providing this experience for all.
There are discounts available for members (learn more about membership

and ways to volunteer which provide the opportunity to enjoy the show.
