CYRANO DE BERGERAC

Picture

March 27, 28, April 2, 3, 4, at 7:30 pm, Matinees March 28 at 1:00 pm

Cyrano De Bergerac is one of the world's greatest plays, and possibly one of the most loved. Set in Par
is, 1640, as France is approaching the zenith of its power. This is the story of the willful soldier, poet, philosopher and expert swordsman named Cyrano De Bergerac, who loves the fair Roxane, but assumes she will refuse him because of his huge nose. Instead he writes love letters for the slow-witted, but handsome Christian so he can win Roxane's hand. Roxane falls deeply in love with Christian, not knowing the letters were written by Cyrano. All against a backdrop littered with musketeers, poets, cadets, lords, ladies and the politics of Louis XIII.   A moving story with lots of interaction with the audience, one that will make you laugh and cry, as you experience the story of a man that just wanted to be loved....
