Announcing TICKETS ON SALE for this hilarious farce!
Don't Tell Mother is a fast-paced farce centering on Cinnamon Schmidt, a librarian who witnesses a bank robbery just before a high-stakes dinner with her fiancé and his mother. Chaos ensues as she tries to hide her terror from her mother, a federal agent confuses identities, a robber is mistaken for a caterer, and a monstrous vacuum cleaner attacks guests. The pace is rapid fire, the dialogue hilarious, and the laughter non-stop!

The Cannon Theatre invites playwrights, both local and non-local, to submit original plays, no more than ten minutes in length. Each of the 8-10 plays selected will be performed at the 10-Minute Play Festival at The Cannon Theatre in Devens MA, June 12-14 2026.
Submission deadline: Friday, March 6. Chosen plays will be announced in late March. |
